Whilst catching up with whats been happening with my favourite artists in Redbubble today, i came across a journal post from Thickblackoutline about Drawing Day - which happens to fall on TBO’s birthday, i’m told

One day a year, the world stops to remember that joy we had when we first picked up a pencil and created our first piece of art - that’s what Drawing Day is all about. This macro image of a peacock feather made into USA postage stamps has surprised me by being a best seller for me at Zazzle, so far to date, 34 sheets has been sold. Note that one sheet has 20 stamps, which means a total of 680 stamps has been purchased of this image alone! Its a wonderful thought to know that its ‘travelling’ all around the USA.

RateMyDrawings is an online drawing community that allows artists and illustrators to draw online.

Users submit drawings by using our Flash based drawing software tool, and people rate drawings a score from 1 to 10 (A masterpiece or disaster piece). Since their launch, the’ve introduced many drawing and art related features including drawing tutorials, community discussion forums, and a great multi-user online drawing chat that allows you to draw online with other users at the same time to create collaborative art.

Artistic Pulse is designed to be a place where artists, designers and art lovers can share their ideas, inspiration and creations. Artists and designers are welcome to submit articles and reviews, and recent art news and exhibition details that may interest other users. It is hard to break into the art and design industry, and hopefully this can be a site where users can promote their own work.

There’s been some changes happening in the various Print on Demand places. If you have a shop there creative creators, best you head into the back office to see these changes.. they are quite good (or maybe not, for some..)

• Zazzle : mainly changes for the shopkeeper and layout for the customer,
  but 15% bigger images (so you see the designs better)
• Cafepress : also mainly changes for the Premium account shopkeeper
  with things like a limit of sections (but it 500..so woah..thats a lot anyways)
• Redbubble : has more colour selections for their t-shirts, and lots of other little things, important if you are member there.
