One of the most important thing for photographers, graphic designers and anyone else that designs and create digital arts on computers is the correctness of the colours we see on our screen and how the colours actually prints outs. As colours can differ greatly on screen (what we see) and when its printed, a Monitor Calibrator is probably one of the most valuable investment we can purchase for our business. These calibrators don’t come cheap – but as time (and technology) has advanced, it is now more affordable than it was few years ago.

Today I have done a quick research on the Datacolor Spyder series, mainly on the Spyder 3 Express and the Spyder 3 Pro. The main point between the two is that if like me, you have dual monitors than the Spyder 3 Pro is what is needed.

Came across this tutorial/article today that i think its a GREAT idea! For one, not everyone likes wearing t-shirts, especially us girls – but there are so many wonderful designs out there on tshirts these days and if you dont wear tees you sort of feel like you missing out. So this tutorial is great especially for tshirts where the print is on the back of the tshirt. Do visit the article to get the full tutorial and information.

How to Restyle a T-Shirt into a Ruffly Cardigan

Vintage bed jackets are beautiful but harder and harder to find in thrift stores these days. Why not make your own bed jacket-inspired cardigan out of an old T-shirt? Restyling is so timely right now; you get a new, fun piece to wear, it doesn’t cost anything, AND you’re putting something to use that hasn’t seen the light of day for ages. This sweet little number is the perfect cardi to throw on over a dress or tank when the weather warms up, which I’m told will happen again some day!

The bones of the building are up, but sub street level a giant hole leaves a gouge in the city’s plan. Undaunted, Höweler + Yoon Architecture and Squared Design Lab teamed up to design a vertical tower of prefabricated “eco pods” filled with bio-fuel producing algae for the space. <!--

The method saves wood by optimizing the number of boards that can be produced from one tree. Read more: Green design will save the world | Inhabitat

When you’re doing it to create art. Obviously. A number of street artists around the world have taken to expressing themselves through an innovative practice known as Reverse Graffiti. Taking a cue from the “Wash Me” messages scrawled on the back of delivery trucks, they seek out soot covered surfaces and inscribe them with images, tags, and even advertising slogans using scrub brushes, scrapers and pressure hoses. Read more: Green design will save the world | Inhabitat
